SUMMARY An informational and analytical study of the spectrum of biological activity, the experience of traditional use and modern ideas about the prospects for the use of Canadian sanguinaria (Sanguinaria Canadensis L.) in modern medical and pharmaceutical practice has been carried out. It is shown that the accumulated ethnobotanical and ethnopharmacological material has led to significant interest in the
experimental and clinical study of sanguinaria on the part of individual researchers and entire scientific
teams.
