Modern medical terminology should be recognized as one of the most extensive and complex in terms of concept and content in comparison with other
areas. This is due to the fact that it contains not only purely medical concepts, but also includes terms used in other sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, cybernetics, etc., which is several hundred thousand words and phrases. The constant increase in the volume of medical and biomedical information leads to the emergence of many new terms, the annual number of which, according to
some information, is more than a thousand.
