Neurasthenia is a form of neurosis. Therapy of neuroses at the present stage is a difficult task for a doctor. This is due to the insufficient effectiveness of the methods of therapeutic influence used by him on patients suffering from neurasthenia. This circumstance dictates the need for further development of more advanced and adequate methods of therapy for patients with this pathology.
In this regard, we, in a comparative aspect, studied 32 patients with neurasthenia, who received various treatment regimens. Among them were 18 women (56.25%) and 14 men (43.75%). The duration of the disease in them ranged from 1.8 to 3.7 years. The age of the subjects was from 22 to 59 years old. From the anamnesis it was found that all patients periodically received therapy with phenobarbital, elenium, ankylosing spondylitis and other sedative drugs.
At the initial visit, 11 patients (34.38%) complained of increased irritability, 12 (37.50%) – of increased excitability, and 7 patients (21.88%) – of rapid fatigue and exhaustion. In 17 patients (54.40%), hyperexcitability and fatigue were simultaneously noted. All subjects noted sleep disturbance. It should be noted that in 12 patients (37.50%) neurasthenia developed after the loss of close relatives, in 11 (34.38%) – as a result of conflict situations in the family and at work, in 5 (15.63%) – after the road trip. – traffic accidents and in 4 (12.50%) – after fright. The subjects were divided into two groups.
