On today’s day epilepsy officially is regarded how hereditary, congenital or acquired predisposition to seizures, which, according to the WHO, occur against the background of chronic brain disease (CM) as a result of excessive neuronal discharges. The underlying causes of epilepsy are still unknown. It is believed that the etiology of epilepsy is polymorphic, as well as the etiology of cancer and other chronic “noncommunicable” diseases.
