Currently, the prevailing point of view is that one of the main causes of gastroduodenitis and the recurrent course of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer is infection with Helicobacter pylori (Hp). The significant frequency of gastroduodenitis in children determines the urgent need for early diagnosis of Hp in order to timely conduct eradication therapy and, accordingly, prevention of the development of ulcerative disease.

Existing numerous methods diagnostics Hp (bacteriological, radionuclide, polymerase chain reaction) are quite complicated, laborious, require expensive equipment and, in general, are not very suitable for express diagnostics and dynamic control during and after the end of therapy courses. The histological method used in the MONIKI pediatric clinic is considered to be the most informative.

However, it is not devoid of certain disadvantages: the need for esophagogastroduodenoscopy, obtaining a reliable response with a high contamination of the mucous membrane and the possibility of obtaining false negative results with a low degree of contamination, limited opportunities for repeated studies. The treatment of helicobacteriosis is based on antibiotic therapy with the use of expensive antibiotics.
