Chronic constipation is a very common bowel disorder. In civilized countries, up to half of the adult population suffers from this pathology. The real incidence of constipation is much higher than the statistical data. Almost always, successfully solving this problem is a difficult task for both the patient and the doctor. Examined and were treated 200 adult patients of different age groups.
When determining the diagnosis, the patient was interviewed, the anamnesis was clarified, the data of clinical and additional research methods were taken into account. The criteria for constipation were: discomfort and a feeling of incomplete emptying of the rectum, constant straining during the act of defecation, the presence of a dense rough-lumpy stool, less than three bowel movements per week.
