Modern technological progress associated with the development of physics, biophysics, biology, radio electronics, has a great influence on the development of physiotherapy, as an integral part of the prevention and treatment of many diseases. Physiotherapeutic factors artificially obtained with the help of various devices and installations (the so-called preformed factors of therapeutic action) and the mechanism of formation of general and local reactions depend on the type of energy used.
In medical practice, the energy of electric current, various physical fields, ultraviolet and infrared radiation, UHF is used; mechanical effect of ultrasonic vibrations, complex effect of hydrotherapy, thermal factor of mud therapy, as well as paraffin and ozokeritotherapy.
