SUMMARY Long turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) and its biologically active substances curcuminoids have pleiotropic activity, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antitumor, antibacterial and antiviral activity. Numerous studies have shown that the antiviral activity of extracts of turmeric rhizomes and curcuminoids has a wide range of biological and pharmacological properties against various viruses,
such as influenza virus, hepatitis B and C viruses, human immunodeficiency virus, etc.
