SUMMARY Currently, the use of medicinal plants as a source of biologically active substances for a mild effect on hormonal disorders associated with disruption in
the work of the female reproductive system remains relevant. It has long been noted that the common twig plant (Vitex agnus-castus L.) is capable of exerting
physiological effects similar to those of sex hormones, such as decreasing libido in
men and relieving mastalgia symptoms in women. The dopaminergic activity of the
common barnacle extract has been proven.
