Homeopathy is a medical system based on very simple to understand principles, the main of which – the principle of “similarity” – was discovered by the founder of homeopathy Samuel Hahnemann in the famous experiment with cinchona bark, which is described in almost all books on homeopathy. According to this principle, a medicine can cure if the symptoms of the disease match the effect
(symptoms and sensations) of that medicine on healthy people. Hence the second principle – the need for tests (provings) of substances on healthy people to determine the indications for its appointment. In accordance with the third
principle, medicines must be used in small doses and in a potentiated form.
