Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common disease and accounts for 10-12%. It is characterized by a chronic, progressive course, leading to dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system and a decrease in the quality of life of patients. OA leads to long-term disability and disability. OA mainly affects the joints that are experiencing the greatest stress – the knee and hip (L.I. Alekseeva, 2000, 2001).

An exacerbation of OA is often complicated by the development of reactive synovitis or tendinitis, which increase the severity of the pain syndrome and increase the period of temporary disability. In recent years, to clarify the localization of the inflammatory process in the joints and periarticular tissues, its degree of severity, as well as to assess the dynamics of the pathological process in the treatment of various methods, the method of arthrosonography (ASG) of the knee joints is widely used.

Ultrasound scanning of joints significantly complements the data of X-ray examination and is a cheap and widely available method of examining patients in outpatient practice. The treatment of OA is still a difficult task, therefore, the application of bioresonance therapy in this category of patients is of practical interest. In a number of works (V.P. Moschits et al., 1990; B.I. Islamov, R.M. Balabanova et al., 2000), the high efficiency of BRT in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and OA is noted.
