Sexual problems as a cause of chronic illness

The topic of this message is an attempt to understand and, perhaps, take a new look at the problem of the occurrence of chronic diseases in humans, to share my observations that one has to deal with in daily practice. It undoubtedly does not pretend to be a complete study of this problem, but, perhaps, it will serve as a basis for other doctors to study this problem.

Issues related to sexuality are very often left without proper attention from the attending physicians, but very often they are the basis of chronic diseases or mental suffering of a person. Undoubtedly, the issue of discussing sexuality remains one of the most delicate issues, and requires a lot of doctor’s tact and trust from the patient. Issues related to sexual problems tend to remain outside the usual medical practice in almost most medical specialties. the time allotted for the appointment does not allow the doctor to delve into the study of the psychological problems associated with the onset of the disease. And it is not surprising that there is practically no literature on this topic.
