Parasitic diseases are widespread among the world’s population. According to the WHO, a quarter of the world’s population is infected with intestinal parasites, among which nematodes take the first place. Especially often, helminthic infestations affect children. Ascariasis is one of the most common parasitic diseases in childhood. About 650 million people are infected in the world every year.
The high invasiveness of the population of Russia is due to a number of factors, among which are: malnutrition, especially protein, which leads to impaired growth in the development of children, changes in immunity; decreased quality of life; increased migration of the population, pollution of natural water bodies, an increase in the contingent of people not subject to compulsory annual medical examination (refugees, unemployed).
