Bronchial asthma is a chronic allergic disease characterized by periodic attacks of shortness of breath, or suffocation. The disease is based on allergic inflammation of the bronchi, accompanied by spasm of smooth muscles, hypersecretion of mucus and edema of the bronchial wall. In cases of severe recurrent course, obscuration emphysema of the lungs, pneumosclerosis, pulmonary heart failure, neuropsychiatric disorders and depressive conditions develop. According to the classification of ADAdo and IK Bulatov [1], there are two main forms of bronchial asthma – infectious-allergic (non-atopic) and non-infectious-allergic (atopic).
