Kuban is often called “pesticide Chernobyl”. The reason for this is environmental features. Pesticides, herbicides and other agricultural chemicals have been used here for many years to spray rice and wheat fields, orchards and vegetable gardens. In addition, industrial waste and air pollution also affect public health. The second feature of the Krasnodar Territory is the presence of seasonal polynoses, which are provoked by local plants (ragweed and other flowering plants).
