Today, along with the use of drugs for the treatment of alcoholic patients, non-drug methods are widely used, aimed both at detoxification and at suppressing the painful craving for alcohol. All these methods provide for the patient’s voluntary desire to be treated. But there is a category of people who do not want to get rid of their addiction. Against the background of alcoholic anosognosia, patients lose the ability to correctly assess their condition and, therefore, can pose a danger to relatives and others.
