Topical diagnosis in a specialized department of ENT diseases usually does not cause significant difficulties. The situation with the establishment of an etiological diagnosis is somewhat more complicated, especially in patients with infectious lesions of the upper respiratory tract. This is due to the limited possibilities of conducting viral-bacteriological studies.
In this regard, the main tasks of the work were of a diagnostic orientation and were reduced to identifying the presence of a burden microorganisms, clarification of the nature of the lesion, the type of pathogens, their localization, as well as identifying indications of the presence of additional aggravating factors and concomitant pathology.
