Introduction Over the past two decades, significant advances have been made in the treatment of bronchial asthma, as evidenced by the rare presence of these patients in hospitals, the almost complete absence of patients with status asthmaticus, and a significant improvement in the quality of life of patients.
Nevertheless, in almost half of patients with bronchial asthma, such urgent problems as the inability to achieve a state of control remain unresolved [1, 2], gradual progression of the disease with the addition of permanent airway obstruction, increased sensitivity to pathogens of nonspecific respiratory tract infections, leading to the need for repeated use of antibacterial agents, further reducing the possibility of a subsequent adequate response of the immune system to various pathogens, including viruses, fungi,
It is in such patients that other – complementary methods of treatment, which make it possible to clarify and correct hidden triggers and allergens, gently reduce the infectious load on the immune system, help to improve the functioning of the detoxification organs, thereby reducing the level of inflammation of the bronchial tree and restoring the disturbed balance of the autonomic nervous system, which leads to an increase in the effectiveness of therapy and an improvement in the quality of life of long-term ill patients with frequent exacerbations.
