Modern medicine has achieved a lot, its successes are indisputable. However, the quality and efficiency of most medical institutions are now the “Achilles’ heel” of healthcare. In the scientific literature, there is an increasing amount of data that cast doubt on the effectiveness of a number of widespread diagnostic and treatment methods. Often the patient’s recovery is a consequence of the natural course of the disease, and not medical care. According to the WHO, today only about 20% of all medical interventions have passed the necessary clinical trials to assess their effectiveness, and 30% of all methods certainly or probably not only do not achieve the set goal, but can also lead to negative consequences for the patient [1].
