Among the benign neoplasms of the upper respiratory tract related to ENT pathology, polyposis rhinosinusitis and laryngeal papillomatosis are of particular interest. The etiopathogenesis of these diseases is largely similar and well studied. So, at present, a multifactorial theory of etiopathogenesis has been adopted, in which a significant role is assigned to the constitutional factor, i.e. the presence of a predisposition of the mucous membrane to a specific tissue reaction. Among the etiopathogenetic factors, the so-called biological defects are distinguished.
