Natural physical factors of the environment have long been used by humans for medicinal purposes, and the experience accumulated during this time, which laid the foundation for many modern trends in therapy, can hardly be overestimated. However, the situation changed radically when it became possible to obtain and use the same physical factors for therapeutic purposes, but with a much greater intensity. First of all, this refers to electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields and radiation; the question of the optimal approach to their application in therapy is still far from being resolved.
