Allergic diseases affect millions of people in the world. Symptoms of allergies include rash, itching, redness of the skin, swelling, itching and redness of the eyes, frequent sneezing, runny or nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, coughing, and diarrhea. Allergies are often provoked by common substances: house dust, plant pollen, animal hair, bird feathers, insect bites, medicines, food, household chemicals, perfumes, synthetic materials and others.
Depending on the severity of the symptoms, allergies can be mild, moderate, or severe. Anaphylactic shock and Quincke’s edema are deadly allergic conditions. With anaphylactic shock, patients quickly lose consciousness, their blood pressure drops sharply, their pulse becomes frequent and weak. With Quincke’s edema, patients have swelling of the throat, face, tongue, difficulty breathing. Such conditions require emergency, qualified medical care.
