Introduction Over the past decades, there has been an increase in the flow of tourists traveling to the countries of Southeast Asia. In the first nine months of 2019, Vietnam was visited by 405 thousand people, Thailand – 763 thousand people, Korea – 200 thousand people, China – 1,712 thousand people, India – 110 thousand people. Singapore – 175 thousand people, Indonesia – 185 thousand people.
Many Russians visit the countries of Southeast Asia more than once. At the same time, few tourists think about natural focal helminthiasis and diseases caused by them. Paragonimiasis is widespread in the countries of southern Central East Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Sri Lanka, South America, Africa. Approximately up to 22 million people suffer from manifest paragonimiasis in the world.
