Introduction Hearing loss as a persistent hearing loss with prolonged exposure to noise, infections and age-related changes is of great social importance, causing a decrease in social adaptation and quality of life. According to the WHO, for every 100 people with hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss (NDH) is manifested in 74% of diagnosed cases.
Sensorineural (synonyms: sensorineural or perceptual) hearing loss (ICD-10, H90.3) is caused by damage to any part of the auditory analyzer, from the soundperceiving hair cells of the organ of Corti, the auditory nerve, the VIII pair of cranial nerves, the vestibular apparatus to the central part of the temporal lobe cerebral cortex [6]. If the cause of sensorineural hearing loss is the death of hair receptor cells, then it is almost impossible to restore hearing.
