There have been some positive preliminary results in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism. The topic is relevant, but there are few
publications on this pathology in the Conference Proceedings. It is one thing to treat parkinsonism (as a syndrome), and quite another to treat Parkinson’s
disease (as a hereditary familial degenerative disease). The 6th International Congress (Barcelona, Spain, June 11-15, 2000) was
dedicated to Parkinson’s disease. Leading experts from all over the world working on this problem discussed many issues. There are a great many such Congresses
and Conferences.
