Dysfunctional bleeding (gynecological bleeding without morphoanatomical changes) occurs as a result of changes correlation-functional activity of the hypothalamus – pituitary gland – adrenal glands – ovaries – uterus system. The group of these bleeding does not include menstrual irregularities caused by inflammation and neoplasms. Consequently, the result of gynecological research fails to detect morphological and anatomical changes.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding can occur at any age. The causes of dysfunctional uterine bleeding can vary. The pathogenesis of these diseases is caused by periodic disturbances in the connections between the central and peripheral endocrine glands. By in According to Yu.V. Borisova (1976), the juvenile period accounts for the 20-25% total number of dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and on climacteric – up to 50-60%.
