With all the multitude of non-traditional and traditional methods of treatment and diagnostics, their use in ophthalmology is very limited and is mainly associated with acupuncture and laser puncture. Often used by ophthalmologists iridology and iridotherapy, but in the treatment or control of the treatment process, not ophthalmic pathology, but diseases of somatic, neurological, etc. [2].
Academic methods of examination of the organ of vision are so specific that diagnostic methods of alternative medicine are not able to replace them or even substantially supplement them. Instrumental-visual control in ophthalmology makes it possible to carry out diagnostics at a high level, solve complex diagnostic issues and monitor the therapeutic effect.
