Chronic prostatitis occurs in 20–35% of men aged 20–45 years (Tkachuk VN, 2000), which worsens the quality of life of this group of the male population. Treatment of prostatitis should be comprehensive and include: 1) antibiotic therapy (for infectious prostatitis); 2) elimination of the leading symptoms of the disease; 3) restoration of microcirculation in the prostate gland; 4) restoration of drainage of the prostatic glands along the excretory ducts; 5) stabilization of the immune-hormonal system. The approach to treatment should be strictly individual, which requires perseverance from the doctor and the patient to achieve a positive result.
