The first reports on the method of conducting segmental vegetative testing as bioelectronic functional regulatory diagnostics (BFD) appeared in Germany in the 70s in the publications of R. Voll’s students (H. Pflaum, 1979). In essence, this is an improved four-quadrant method for analyzing the conductivity of patient’s tissues by direct current between electrodes applied to the limbs, which was not widely used due to the limited possibilities of topical diagnostics and was used mainly for preliminary assessment of the patient’s condition.
