SUMMARY When studying the content and dynamics of the accumulation of ascorbic acid in the fruits of Rosa canina, it was found that the Nakhchivan population is characterized by a high content of ascorbic acid. The amount of ascorbic acid depends on the species, the place of growth, the height of the area, the
mechanical composition of the soil, the climatic conditions of the growing season and the age of the
plants. The greatest amount of ascorbic acid accumulates in the fruits of 4–5-year-old stems in the phase of technical maturity.
Key words: content, dynamics, vitamin C, Rosa L.
