Chronic rheumatic diseases joints, causing functional disorders of the musculoskeletal apparatus, present a serious medical and social problem due to significant difficulties in their therapy. Currently, great success has been achieved in the treatment of many
diseases of the joints, both in connection with the introduction of effective drugs
into wide practice, and due to the development of rational systems of medical and
social rehabilitation of patients.
However, given the high prevalence and, at the same time, severe outcomes
of rheumatic diseases, there remains a need for
improvement of treatment methods and restoration of the functional capacity of
this contingent of patients.
