Recently, there has been an increase in the frequency of herpetic diseases of the organ of vision, especially corneal lesions. Despite the significant advances in virology and the emergence of new antiviral agents, the number of patients with a severe protracted course of the process is increasing. But even with successful treatment and restoration of visual functions, the patient is not immune from relapse, and each subsequent relapse, as a rule, is more severe than the previous one and leaves more serious consequences, which significantly affects visual functions.
The purpose In our work, we set the task to investigate the effectiveness of infomotherapy in the complex treatment of herpetic lesions of the cornea. The study group included 12 patients with post-primary herpetic diseases of the cornea aged 24 to 45 years (8 women, 4 men). These were patients in whom the disease had a protracted course, 10 of them were treated inpatiently for a long time, 2 – on an outpatient basis using a wide range of antiviral agents, but without much effect. In 2 patients it was a relapse of the disease.
