In recent years, the frequency of patients seeking infertility has increased. Infertility is the inability of persons of childbearing age to reproduction due to impaired fertilization or implantation of a fertilized egg. In women, a distinction is made between primary infertility – when there was no history of pregnancy, and secondary infertility – if there is a history of pregnancy.
A woman is the cause of infertility in marriage in 40% of cases, a man – in 40%, both spouses – in 30% of cases. More often, people whose marriage was considered infertile, as well as those who had undergone a thorough gynecological examination and more than one course of treatment with a gynecologist or urologist, if it concerned men, were more often addressed.
