On May 21, 2001, the Government of the Russian Federation issued Decree No. 402 on licensing of medical activities, according to which such types of activities as bioresonance therapy (BRT) and traditional diagnostics by methods approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation were introduced into the section “Traditional medicine”.

The Academic Council of VSMU, taking into account the requirements of the “State Educational Standard”, taking into account the emergence of new types of medical activity, and in order to form a broader and more objective understanding of a person and possible methods of his diagnosis and treatment among students, decided to create a course “BRT, homeopathy and traditional diagnostic methods “.
