The method of microwave radiothermometry (hereinafter RTM) is a noninvasive passive procedure for determining the thermal activity of tissues. Since a change in tissue temperature precedes structural changes, there is a fundamental possibility of detecting diseases on early stages. Compared to infrared (IR) thermography, which measures the surface temperature of the skin, RTM provides information on the distribution of temperature fields at a depth of several centimeters. An important property of the RTM is its absolute harmlessness, which makes it possible to carry out multiple examinations, observe the dynamics of the disease and choose the right treatment tactics.
