Rheumatic distributed and diseases in the present time extremely distributed and ranked second after cardiovascular diseases. Among them, the most common is degenerative joint damage – osteoarthritis (OA). Currently, it is believed that OA occurs under the influence of a complex of etiological factors, both external and internal, that is, it is a multifactorial disease (L.I. Alekseeva, 2003).
The knee joints are most often affected by OA in persons of both sexes (L.I. Alekseeva, 2001). The high prevalence rate leads to significant economic damage both due to temporary disability and to a decrease in labor productivity and disability (Y.A. Doroshenko, 1993). Treatment of OA still presents great difficulties, although it helps to influence a number of complex pathological processes (V.A. Nasonova, L.I. Alekseeva, 2001, 2003).
In recent years, the Institute of Rheumatology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has been used in the treatment of OA. Complex approaches developed in its therapy include non-steroidal improving metabolic processes in cartilage tissues, physiotherapy treatment. anti-inflammatory drugs and blood circulation in the periarticular (NSAIDs), funds, In the 90s, practical health care began to use the method of bioresonance therapy (BRT) for various diseases, including degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
