SUMMARY The article provides information on obtaining extracts from some medicinal plants that are approved for use in medical practice on the territory of the Russian Federation and are recommended for use in dentistry. A comparative assessment of their antioxidant and antibacterial
activity was carried out in order to substantiate the possibility of obtaining various compositions based on extracts and creating rational dosage forms for use in dental practice in the treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases.
