The results of the diagnostic method according to R. Voll when planning the treatment of the oral mucosa

Recently, the cost of dental care has increased and at the same time the financial responsibility of the dentist has increased for possible side
effects during filling, prosthetics, the use of implants, etc. With an increase in the range of imported and domestic filling materials, facing and
base plastics, metal alloys, medical testing of dental materials is relevant. One of the important directions in this area is the use of
electropunctural diagnostics according to the method of R. Voll.
The purpose of our study was to analyze the possibilities of diagnostics by the method of R. Voll with the aim of a quick, effective and rational
selection of filling material for patients with pathology of the oral mucosa.
The studies were carried out at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry and Nervous Diseases of the Altai State MedicalUniversity in the
period from 1998 to the present. We observed 350 patients aged 25 to 75 years with severe pathology of oral mucosa (leukoplakia, lichen planus,
glossodynia, cheilitis, allergic reactions to filling materials, intolerance to metal structures in the oral cavity, etc.).
