Summary Recently, statements that homeopathy is a pseudoscience have begun to appear quite often in the scientific literature and the press. Is this so, and what is
homeopathy really? The article provides a brief analysis of the existing theories of  homeopathic effects and provides a scientific basis for the author’s own theory,
from the standpoint of modern sciences: toxicology, clinical medicine and physiology.
