The topic of autistic disorders in the psyche rises more and more every year. Various theories are put forward against the background of which new methods of treatment are being created, but this does not provide a solution to the issue of treating the disease. Autism is a multidisciplinary problem. Children with autism spectrum disorders need constant monitoring by neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, defectologists and social workers. Michael Gantz (2008, USA) estimates that it takes $ 3.2 million to serve a person with autism over their lifetime.
It costs $ 35 billion annually to support people with autism in the United States, but this amount does not reflect the full scale of the problem, since some indirect costs cannot be accounted for. At the same time, the US authorities spend $ 100 million a year on research in the field of autism (Michael Gantz 2008, USA). But despite these costs, in 50 years of research, we have not made a single step forward in the study of autism.
