SUMMARY The article, which is of a review nature, examines the biological effects observed under the action of extremely low-frequency alternating and pulsed magnetic fields from sources of natural and artificial origin. Molecular and membrane mechanisms of interaction of magnetic fields with biological objects are analyzed. The results of experimental studies of the effect of variable and pulsed magnetic fields on the functional systems of the body are presented:
nervous (behavior and neurophysiology), cardiovascular, immune, endocrine systems, etc.
