Introduction The northeast of the Perm region is the place of traditional residence of representatives of the peoples of the Far North – the Mansi: nomad reindeer herders. The change in the way of life, in connection with the new economic relations, put the indigenous people on the brink of survival. The remoteness of places of residence, the presence of mountain-taiga landscapes, and the physiology of the taiga’s organism dictate the need to solve urgent problems.
The study of the state of health, the development of new approaches to the provision of first aid and transportation is justified by a number of directive documents of the government of the Russian Federation, which medical science and practice, together with economic and trade union organizations, are called upon to ensure a higher quality level of living in this region.
