For many years we have been treating children with chronic abdominal pain. With a detailed examination of such children, in some cases, we reveal any pathology from the gastrointestinal tract (gastritis, gastroduodenitis, gastric ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, biliary dyskinesia and cholecystitis), but often we do not see an objective pathology on the part of the digestive system, which could give such frequent and so intense abdominal pain that the child complains about.
We note right away that we separately single out (and do not consider in this work) a group of children with vegetative-visceral paroxysms, when abdominal pain is an integral part of the paroxysm resulting from diencephalic disorders. In this article, we would like to share our experience with a group of children who have abdominal pain in the absence of any organic causes, both from the digestive tract and from the nervous system.
