Surgical treatment of retention cysts is not always justified, because it is accompanied by a number of undesirable complications, the main of which are the recurrence of ovarian tumor formations and the development of the postoperative adhesion process in the small pelvis. According to Ryan et al. (1999 a.), The recurrence rate after surgical treatment of follicular and luteal cysts is 15.1%.
Retention cysts are more common in women of reproductive age and can be the cause, sometimes the only one, of infertility in marriage. In these cases, the treatment of retention ovarian cysts becomes especially important: it should be carried out as soon as possible and without any complications caused by the intervention of a doctor (H. Hirsch et al. 1999). For this purpose, we have proposed a combined method of bioresonance therapy (ART) and acupuncture for the treatment of ovarian retention cysts.
