The widespread spread of HIV infection, which has become a pandemic throughout the world, dictates the creation of not only a vaccine against HIV infection, but also the development of new (medicinal and non-medicinal) methods of treatment.
Currently, significant advances have been made in the treatment of HIV infection with medication (antiretroviral therapy) based on a scheme for the combined use of drugs of three groups – “tritotherapy”: protease inhibitors (crixivan or invisara) and two reverse transcriptase inhibitors (usually retrovir and epivir), which lead to a significant decrease in viral load and stabilization of immunological parameters.
