The search for the most effective means, methods of diagnosis and treatment of borderline mental disorders is carried out in different directions, based on different concepts of the mechanisms of pathogenesis and sanogenesis. In rehabilitation therapy and social rehabilitation of patients, it is used the constitutional approach, which is based on ideas about the individualtypological properties of the organism and personality, is addressed to these integral fundamental structures.
The therapy, selected taking into account the individual constitution, is aimed at mobilizing the patient’s own resources, and its main “target” is the “central disorder” which can be attributed to the maladaptive position of the personality in psychosomatic disorders (Zhuravlev V.F., 2001, 2002; Zhuravlev V.F., Kolesnik N.T., 2002; Solomatin V.A., Tikhomirov D.D., Anuashvili A N., Mikhalchik S.V., 2001; Tikhonenko V.A., Elfimov M.A., Bobrakova O.T., 2001).
