Clinical diagnosis of acute viral hepatitis does not cause difficulties in cases of classic icteric forms of the disease. However, the most dangerous for others are patients in the preicteric stage, as well as with anicteric and subclinical forms, when the virus is secreted very intensively, and the disease is practically not recognized. Back in 1975, Ugryumov et al. on the material of 2523 observations, it was noted that the diagnosis was correctly made only in 9.2% of patients at the preicteric stage of acute viral hepatitis. The number of mild anicteric forms of the disease has increased significantly due to the wide and often unjustified use of gamma globulin.
