In recent years, diseases of the cardiovascular system have come out on top in terms of mortality and disability among the population. Moreover, myocardial infarction is one of the main and most formidable manifestations of this group of diseases. It is well known that adequate therapy of acute myocardial infarction in the first hours of the disease allows not only to reduce mortality, but also determines the further prognosis, i.e. the patient’s quality of life, in particular, regarding the development of postinfarction angina pectoris, cardiac aneurysm, rheumodulation of the left ventricle and, as a consequence, heart failure.
