One of the methods of stimulating the work of human internal organs is reflexology. Currently, more than a thousand biologically active points (acupuncture points) are known. Many of them are used for therapeutic or corrective effects. Methods of influencing acupuncture points are conditionally divided into six types: mechanical (classical acupuncture, acupuncture – finger or instrumental, surface acupuncture with special hammers with bundles of needles or needle rollers; vacuum therapy; capillary bloodletting; metal therapy, etc.), electromagnetic effects (electropuncture, electroacupuncture, magnetic field), exposure to quantum and wave energy (laser, ultraviolet rays, ultrasound), exposure to temperature factors: thermal (cauterization, heating) and cryogenic (cooling), introduction of medicinal substances into points and mixed effects: mebotherapy, microelectrophoresis.
