The urgency of the problem Kidney diseases such as pyelonephritis and urolithiasis account for up to 70% of all urological pathology. These diseases occur with varying frequency in all age groups. In childhood, pyelonephritis in the morbidity structure takes the third place after respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases. They are most common in the first 3 years of life. Among 100,000 children, pyelonephritis is diagnosed in 500–600. During pregnancy, gestational pyelonephritis occurs in 14% of women and, in general, it is not a primary disease, but an exacerbation of latent, not timely diagnosed chronic pyelonephritis.
